CHANDRABABU NAIDU OFFERS POWER AT LOW COST TO INVESTORS IN ANDHRA PRADESH
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu assured the investors in his state of uninterrupted power supply at low cost, abundant land and water, skilled labour, air and water connectivity, and grant of licences on real-time basis.
Naidu was addressing a huge gathering of entrepreneurs at the 24th edition of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership summit in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the three- day annual event at Harbour Park. Union Minister for commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu was the chief guest.
Chandrababu said the state has recorded 59 percent success rate with regard to materialisation of MoUs in the previous summits. He asked every participant in the summit to sign an MoU. Agriculture, food processing and automobile are the focus areas, he said.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced investments worth Rs 9,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Adani Group. will develop Greenfield seaport at Bhavanapadu in Srikakulam district, a multi commodity park and set up 1,000 MW renewable energy (solar and wind) project and battery storage facility in the state. The investments are planned for next five years. The group signed MoUs with the state government.
Automotive and auto components sectors showed interest in investing in the state.
Venkaiah Naidu said the reform process initiated by the Narendra Modi government started yielding results and brought in transparency in administration. “Now, you don’t need to meet people in government for clearance of your investment proposals. They automatically happen, if you apply online,” he said.
Suresh Prabhu appreciated the state for being the fastest growing state in the country bravely facing the challenges posed by the bifurcation.
