Chemtrols Solar wins National Excellence award for Rooftop Solar installations in India
One of India’s leading Solar EPC Company, receivedaNational Excellence Award for Rooftop Solar Power Projects in the ‘Channel Partner/EPC contractor’ category.The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) had announced achievement-linked Incentives & Awards for ‘Grid connected rooftop and small Solar Power plants program’ under the National Solar Mission (NSM), aimed to recognize EPC channel partners doing exceptionally well in the field of rooftop solar installations. Chemtrols Solar achieved 17.8 MWp of Rooftop Solar installationsranging from 1 kWp to 3.3 MWp for a single entity, catering to 372 beneficiaries across the Country.
The National Award for Rooftop Solar was given away by HonorableMinister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal, and New & Renewable Energy, Mr. Piyush Goyal, at the occasion of MNRE’s National workshop on rooftop solar power on 7th June 2016 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.At the occasion of the award function, the Chairman of the Chemtrols Group Mr. K. Nandakumar said “I thank the Ministry for this recognition.The potential for Rooftop Solar in India is enormous and initiatives like these will encourage the Industry as well as popularize Rooftop Solar across the Country. l would also like to thank our Customers and our supplier partners who have supported us in these projects.”
Chemtrols Solar has been the recipient of the Prestigious Inter-Solar Award in 2013 for India’s 1st and the world’s 2nd MW scale Rooftop PV-Diesel HybridSolar Power Plant. Chemtrols Solar has also installed India’s largest rooftop Solar Power plant under the net-meteringscheme. Mumbai’s first rooftop solar power plantunder the net-metering scheme also credited to Chemtrols Solar.
