City solar man becomes India’s innovation champ
Kolkata: Solar man and Green Oscar awardee SP Gon Chaudhuri has received the prestigious Mission Innovation Champion Award of India for his contribution in providing energy to rural India. The award was given to him and 18 others from different countries, including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Finland, China and Australia at a ceremony in Vancouver, Canada, on Monday.
The champions, including Gon Chaudhuri, will now work as ambassadors of innovation in their respective countries through their governments.
