CM Naveen Patnaik lays stone for OREDA building
BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for office building of Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) at Mancheswar Industrial Estate here on Wednesday.
Constituted as a nodal agency in 1984, it has been popularising the exploitation and use of renewable energy resources in the State.
Autoclaved aerated concrete blocks will be used for the construction of the building. The blocks will manage the outer heat and control inner temperature, said sources.Apart from this, it has been planned to generate 100 kw power from solar rooftop system which will save up to 34,320 kw electricity a year.
Nearly 2,081 square metre has been allotted at Mancheswar for the entire project to be built at a coast of `10.87 crore.
