Development work of Rewa Mega Ultra Solar Plant project is moving at a healthy pace as developers have been provided with the requisite. Facilities, said Principal Secretary of New and Renewable Energy Manu Shrivastava at the first consultation meeting on August 18 at Rewa Mega Ultra Solar Limited Bhopal. In the meeting Shrivastava discussed with the developers on providing of 90 per cent land for development, establishment of around 60-70 per cent of sub-station for grid adjustment of the produced power. He shared details on the development of the 400 KV sub-station and it would be completed before specified time.
Minister of Energy and New and Renewable Energy Paras Jain assured the developers about the commitment of state towards the project and approved the pace of development of the work. Developers agreed to the developments of the work shared by Shrivastava and assured that the project would be completed within the set timeline. The low tariff of project is due to ‘Project Security Fund’ which ensures clearance of bills according to the produced power and timely payments to the developers. Apart from the other discussions waiver on ‘Inter State Transmission Charges’ have been waived off and in case of Inter State Transmission the power would be only used for power distribution companies while others would be charged and this would increase the cost of providing power to Delhi Metro. Replying to concern raised Chief Engineer Delhi Metro Manuj Singhal said that even after the rates would be raised Delhi Metro would get cheaper power. Representatives of Mahindra Sustainables, Solenergy, ACME Solar, Delhi Metro, MP Power Management, MP Transmission Company, Power Grid, IFC and Rewa Ultra Solar Limited were present at the meeting.
