Electrical-solar vehicle championship held
An Electrical Solar Vehicle Championship 2017 organised by Shri Vishnu College of Engineering for Women drew good response from students who came from different colleges to show their prowess at the event.
The event was organised in association with Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE). There were two rounds of ‘Auto Cross’ and ‘Hill Climbing’ tests.
The Auto Cross category, the participating teams had to drive their vehicle equipped with solar power panels, in path designed in the shape of 8 number.
To succeed in the hill climbing test, the teams had to take their vehicles up an artificially laid ghat road. Those who emerged successful in the two rounds, had to prove their mettle in the ‘Rain Test’.
An expert committee comprising Vinodh Gupta, Managing Director of ISIE, G. Srinivasa Rao, principal of the college, and P. Srinivas Raju, vice-principal of the college, judged the performance of the solar vehicles.
