Elliott Management Keen on Selling 300-MW Aussie Solar Platform – Report
US investment manager Elliott Management Corporation is looking for buyers for its Australian solar power generation portfolio totalling roughly 300 MW, The Australian reports.
The specific portfolio of assets owned by Elliott Green Power Australia is estimated at over AUD 500 million (USD 386.2m/EUR 316.9m). According to the report, the US group has engaged corporate advisory firm Azure Capital and the Bank of America to facilitate the potential deal.
The bundle of solar assets on offer includes the 98-MW Susan River photovoltaic (PV) park in Queensland, the 75-MW Childers and 132-MW Nevertire farms in New South Wales.
Thai energy company Banpu PCL is believed to be leading the race for Elliott’s assets, the daily writes without quoting sources. Allegedly, possible investor interest is also considered to be shown by First Sentier, Palisade Investment Partners, Lighthouse Infrastructure and Intermediate Capital Group (ICG).
Elliott Green Power Australia is owned by funds advised by Elliott Management Corporation. The latter is the manager of two hedge funds that collectively have more than USD 40 billion of assets under management.
