Emmvee Photovoltaic Power has announced the signing of an agreement with Hero Future Energies to supply up to 600 MWp of high-efficiency solar modules over a two-year period. Emmvee’s PV modules will power Hero Future Energies’ projects across India.

Rohit Dhar, COO, Emmvee, said the agreement between Emmvee and Hero Future Energies signifies the beginning of a strong and enduring partnership. Emmvee has a solar module production capacity of up to 3 GW. It is all set to commission 1.5 GW TOPCon cell line within the next few months. Hero Future Energies (HFE) is the renewable energy arm of Hero Group. Established in 2012, it has a global portfolio of 4.5 GW of renewable energy assets across India, Ukraine and Vietnam comprising both operational and under-construction projects. It also has another 2 GW of projects in the pipeline across these geographies as well as the UK and Bangladesh. Backed by global investors such as International Finance Corp. (IFC) and KKR, HFE plans to invest progressively in grid-connected solar and wind, clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial sectors, energy storage, and green hydrogen over the next few years in India and internationally, targeting a five-fold growth in next five years.

Srivatsan Iyer, global CEO, Hero Future Energies, said, “In the face of ongoing global supply chain challenges, our latest strategic agreement with Emmvee allows us to better manage our cost and supply-chain uncertainty and ensures a consistent supply of highquality modules. This partnership is a key enabler in our journey to fulfil our project pipeline, safeguarding against any potential disruptions that could adversely affect our projects in terms of both cost and timeline.
