Envision secures 1.9GW in turbine orders from India – EQ Mag Pro
Combined agreements amount to 596 units to be installed in projects across five states
Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Envision Energy has won 1900MW in combined orders from India.
Envision Energy’s combined orders amount to the largest capacity that a Chinese wind manufacturer has sold to a single foreign country, the Shanghai-based company stated.
Customers and projects are undisclosed.
The orders comprise a total of 596 turbines, the majority of which will be delivered in the first half of 2023.
Each turbine has a 3.3MW nameplate capacity.
Envision has invested in a factory in India to ensure efficient delivery.
The turbines will be installed in five states across the country.
With 40GW of wind turbines installed at the end of 2021, Envision has become China’s largest wind turbine maker for that year and the fourth largest in the world, it stated.
The manufacturer is part of the global RE100 initiative and became the first company in mainland China committed to 100% renewable electricity by 2025.
