BRUSSELS: EU state aid regulators cleared on Tuesday a 385-million-euro ($433.28 million) Lithuanian scheme to produce electricity from renewable sources, saying that it was in line with the bloc’s environmental goals.
The project, which will run from May 1 to July 1, 2025, will help Lithuania reach its goal of producing 38 percent of its energy from renewable sources by 2025. Utilities generating energy from wind, solar or hydropower will receive a premium.
