In Short : Exicom Tele-Systems and ChargeZone have partnered to set up 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across India. This collaboration aims to expand EV infrastructure, making charging more accessible and efficient. The initiative supports the adoption of electric vehicles, promoting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, while addressing challenges like range anxiety and limited charging access for users.

In Detail : New Delhi – Exicom Tele-Systems has partnered with ChargeZone to deploy over 500 high-power electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across India. This collaboration focuses on building a scalable and sustainable charging network to support the country’s push toward clean energy and electric mobility adoption.

Key Details of the Collaboration

Under this agreement, Exicom will develop and supply ultra-high-power charging solutions that ChargeZone will install at public charging hubs and key highways. These chargers will be integrated with Exicom’s software for remote management, ensuring reliability and ease of use.

The partnership will prioritize integrating renewable energy into charging infrastructure to align with India’s renewable energy goals. Exicom’s battery energy storage system (BESS) solution, Harmony Boost, will play a critical role in optimizing energy usage and reducing grid loads by storing excess energy for future use.

Addressing Infrastructure Gaps

India’s transition to electric mobility has highlighted gaps in charging infrastructure, particularly along highways and urban areas. This partnership aims to address range anxiety among EV owners by establishing easily accessible, energy-efficient charging points.

Both companies have committed to building “green” EV stations powered by renewable energy, supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen EV infrastructure and promote sustainable energy practices.

Broader Implications

The initiative aligns with the government’s clean energy vision and contributes to reducing the carbon footprint of India’s growing transport sector. By targeting highways and urban hubs, the collaboration aims to ensure a seamless EV experience while supporting the broader goals of emission reduction and renewable energy integration.

This development marks another step forward in addressing India’s EV infrastructure challenges, with a focus on sustainability and scalability for long-term adoption.
