In exercise of powers conferred under Sections 61, 66, 86 (1) (e) and 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003, APERC made Regulation 1 of 2012 (Renewable Power Purchase Obligation Regulations, 2012), prescribing the obligation for purchase of Renewable Power and its compliance by purchase of Renewable Energy / Renewable Energy Certificates for each of the years form 2012-13 to 2016-17 (up to March 2017). Government of India notified the revised Tariff Policy which was published vide Gazette of India, dated 28.01.2016.
