The CEEW Centre for Energy Finance has launched its latest report, Financing India’s Energy Transition Through International Bond Markets. In this study, we assess green bonds raised by Indian RE developers in international bond markets.
We found that developers have raised over $11 billion through this route since 2014. These proceeds have directly refinance at least 10 GW of RE capacity in India.
We analyse the characteristics of these bonds, such as their pricing, geographic allocations and maturity periods. We also do a deep dive into the technologies, offtakers, and project profiles for the 10 GW of RE capacity refinanced through this route.
