Fisker creates new partnership with Deftpower for European customers to access even more EV charge points with their Fisker Ocean.

Today, Fisker has selected Deftpower as its European public charging platform provider. This enables Fisker Ocean owners access to over 425,000 public charging points throughout Europe. This partnership provides Fisker owners in Europe with easy access to local public chargers, efficient vehicle charging, and a simple payment system. Fisker Ocean owners in Europe can access the Deftpower charging network two ways. Firstly, by using the Fisker Flex Charge app, which has not yet been released. Secondly, through the Fisker Ocean in-vehicle navigation system on the 17.1″ display.

This is good news for European customers that purchase a Fisker Ocean as it bolsters public charging options. It’s in addition to the partnership announced last year with the Allego network, which has over 30,000 public chargers. Fisker Ocean customers can obtain one year of free charging through Allego if they take delivery before March 31, 2024. The free Allego recharge period begins after customers activate the subscription package in the Fisker Flex app.

Last month, Fisker partnered with ChargePoint to offer a seamless charging experience for Fisker Ocean owners in North America. As part of that deal, Fisker Ocean owners will have access to ChargePoint’s extensive network, which covers 80% of public charging spots in North America. It will be made available through the electric SUV’s navigation system and ChargePoint mobile app. This network covers over 80% of public charging spots in North America. However, like Allego in Europe, will Fisker offer free charging for customers in North America? That’s one of many questions customers are waiting to be answered.
