NEW DELHI, Sept. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Fonrich New Energy, a leading solar power company in China, shined at Renewable Energy India Expo in Sep. 20th with its advanced PV Power Optimizer and Intelligent String Monitoring Unit. Fonrich New Energy, a leading solar power company located in Shanghai, China, has entered the Indian solar market with it’s smart generation and intelligent O&M solution for both rooftop and megawatts projects. It’s the first time Fonrich has appeared at an international exhibition outside of China. Fonrich PV Power Optimizer and cloud-based management APP is designed for distributed solar systems, especially for rooftop projects. The optimizer, is installed at the back of each PV panel, tracks the Maximum Power Point of each PV panel separately to increase the installation at the same time and improve the power output of the whole system. As the modules are in series in a traditional system, the power output will be dramatically reduced due to any bucket-effect on a single module, like shading, defects, etc. Fonrich optimizer also monitors the status of each PV panel, to identify the module level problem remotely and realize using real-time and cloud-based O&M with Fonrich mobile app, which also means more power, less input and more money. Fonrich String Monitoring Unit (SMU), named as Gilgal, takes the first market share in China, has been widely used for more than 15GW solar system. Gilgal2 and Gilgal3 are designed for 1000V and 1500V systems, they have enclosed and compact PCB boards and modularized current sensors, can monitor the string current, bus-bar voltage, combiner box temperature and the status of breaker and SPD, and transfer the data through Modbus to SCADA. The main unit can be directly connected to the bus-bar with an embedded power supply, which saves the space of a combiner box and the cost of the external power supply. Gilgal3 can monitor 4 digital and 2 analog data sets and detect the arc-fault to protect the system from fire. 40% fires are caused by DC arc-fault in solar systems. Moreover, LoRa wireless communication is also a shining feature for Gilgal3.
Fonrich Intelligent Combiner Box, which has been certificated by TUV, has optional world-class and Chinese made components and is available for both 1000VDC and 1500VDC systems. Compared to a traditional separated combiner box or an array junction box, all of the components, fuses, breakers, SPD, monitoring unit, are all installed in one box, making the system more compact and easy to repair. With Fonrich string monitoring unit, Gilgal, the string current, bus-bar voltage and temperature can be monitored in SCADA. Optional DC arc-fault protection can also be used to prevent the system from fires.
For both distributed and utility-scale system, Fonrich smart gateway, Fongate, will take care of the data collection and transportation as a data logger. Which makes the cloud based management and maintenance much more easy. The Renewable Energy India Expo was held in Greater Noida Exhibition Center, attracted over 1000 enterprises all over the world, 30% of them were from China. During the exhibition from Sep. 20-22, hundreds of EPCs showed interest on Fonrich PV Power Optimizer and intelligent String Monitoring Unit.
