The French government has awarded 90 projects totalling 378 MW in the fifth round of the country’s multi-year energy procurement programme for rooftop solar projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) use.
The Ministry for the Ecological Transition designated the winners this month and released a list of the successful projects on its website, revealing that the tender attracted proposals for an average price of EUR 101.95 (USD 110.3) per MWh.
According to the document, French renewable power producer Technique Solaire ended up with the largest number of awards – 18 projects with a combined capacity of about 80 MW. The largest project awarded in the tender as a whole is a 31-MW scheme by a vehicle called Ferme d’Akuo 12 that is located in the department of Cote-d’Or, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of northeastern France.
In April, the ministry designated 16 winning projects in the fourth round of the call for tenders for C&I rooftop solar, scoring an average price of EUR 104.52/MWh.
