France has awarded close to 50 MWp of capacity in a tender for solar projects in non-interconnected zones (ZNIs), with or without a battery storage component, official data showed on Friday.

The Ministry of Ecological Transition announced 89 winners in the sixth round of the tender programme held by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). The selected projects will add a combined power generation capacity of 49.8 MWp in Corsica and the overseas territories.

The list of winners includes France’s Albioma SA (EPA:ABIO), So Watt, Green Yellow and Helexia Solar Guyane, a unit of French renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA). The full list of awarded projects is available on the ministry’s website.

The fifth call of the ZNIs tender programme awarded 33 proposals with a combined capacity of 29 MWp. The allocated capacity was for projects located in French Guiana and Mayotte.
