Friends Salt Works & Allied Industries installs new solar power plant in Bhavnagar – EQ Mag Pro
Friends Group is a vertically integrated and Friends group is one of the leading salt producers and exporters and has more than 20 lakh square feet of dry cargo warehousing capacity and cumulative renewable power generation capacity of more than 100 MW.
The company recently installed 4.00 MW of solar project in Asarana, Bhavnagar. We chose the polycrystalline solar modules of 335WP from Waaree Energies. The installation is collectively expected to generate over 5.8 million units of electricity, potentially mitigating over 10 lakh tonnes of carbon emission.
Mr. Babulal Singhvi from Friends Salt Works & Allied Industries said, “It has been our continuous endeavor to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to achieve Net Zero emission goal. We have been exploring different avenues and business models for using renewable energy to promote sustainable business growth. This step has been taken to increase the proportion of renewable energy usage in its operations”.
