New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government’s ‘power priorities’ are defined, well-planned and strongly focussed on making India a power-surplus nation and also moving to clean and green energy while slowly phasing out non-renewable forms of energy.
The ultra ambitious target looks intimidating at first instance because of India’s huge dependence on traditional forms of electricity. However, the Modi government, by setting forth a clear model of power generation, has laid the foundation for India’s shift from coal and thermal power plants to solar and wind energy.
