GE Renewable Bags Multiple Orders From PGCIL
GE Renewable Energy on Wednesday said it has bagged multiple orders from state-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). As part of the orders, the company will provide 13 units of 765 kV transformers and 32 units of 765 kV reactors for the new substations to be set up by PGCIL in Rajasthan.
The project’s transformers and reactors will be supplied by GE Grid Solutions’ power transformer manufacturing facility in Vadodara, the company said in a statement. The substations will be evacuating 8.1 gigawatt (GW) of green power from the state’s solar energy zones.
