GES sarts 2017 adding 60 MW in PV construction
Two years ago Global Energy Services (GES) decided to further develop the solar activity within the company and had an immediate respond in the market with the awarding of 150 MW in photovoltaic EPC contracts during 2015. Only a few months before this awarding, GES created an independent Solar Division for the solar activity. After the completions of both projects last fall, GES is negotiating its first photovoltaic plant in Mexico, which became a big market after the eruption of solar energy in last year’s renewable energy auctions. Additionally, GES is in final negotiations for new projects in the US. These two photovoltaic plants will add 60 MW for the EPC construction division of the company.
GES Solar Division has a more ambitious plan, working on 350 MW of projects for this year. GES photovoltaic activity will be focused in America, striving to get more MW in the Middle East region shortly, where the Spanish EPC service provider already has experience in the wind sector. GES is also transforming its organization to reinforce the photovoltaic EPC team.
