GIS Engineer – Wind Farm Development
Job Description :
We are an exciting and fast-growing startup hiring for a Geographical Information Systems Engineer focused on our activities in finding and design wind farm projects.
The role will involve being responsible for our mapping activities and managing our internal GIS data.
Roles and responsibilities
– Creating and maintaining the structures necessary for GIS data storage
– Digitising and mapping of wind farm data
– Management of public and proprietary data
– Liaison with data suppliers
– Production of client deliverables
– Satellite image processing
– Feature data extraction from imagery, mapping and data creation
Qualifications:
– B.Sc, M.Sc(Geology), M.Tech(Geoinfomatics) or similar
– Experience with QGIS/arcGIS and GoogleEarth preferred
– Experience with a range of raster formats
