Galp has just entered wind energy in Brazil and secured 4.8 GW of new renewable projects in the country, reaching a total of 9.6 GW in Brazil, Spain and Portugal.
This diversified portfolio of renewable energy projects more than doubles our developing portfolio, giving access to photovoltaic and wind projects in nine Brazilian states.
According to Georgios Papadimitriou, our COO of Renewable Energies, New Business and Innovation at Galp, “we are now adding a new growth engine, leveraged on Brazil’s vast potential in renewable energies, and rebalancing our business in the country” .
