ATHENS: Greece’s dominant power utility Public Power Corp. (PPC) will increase its renewable power capacity by 1 gigawatt (GW) by 2024, its CEO said on Monday.
Presenting PPC’s 2020-2024 business plan, Chief Executive Officer Georgios Stassis added that PPC wanted to shut down 3.4 gigawatt of its coal fired capacity by the end of 2023.
Stassis also confirmed earlier reports that PPC saw its core profit reaching 1 billion euro in 2024.
