GreenVolt acquires 50% of Univergy Autoconsumo – EQ Mag Pro
GreenVolt acquired 50% of Univergy Autoconsumo, a company until now held by Univergy Solar and by Remigio Abad, former General Manager of Powen, who hold 50% of the company’s capital, with GreenVolt guaranteeing the option to purchase the entire capital.
GreenVolt’s entry into Univergy takes place mainly through a capital increase in the company of €12 million, which will allow the company to face the rapid growth that decentralized energy production has been registering.
Founded in 2019, Univergy Autoconsumo has achieved rapid growth in the market, having, since its foundation, implemented around 400 projects, currently holding an additional pipeline of 600 MW in 3,500 customers.
“This acquisition clearly reinforces GreenVolt’s commitment to the development of photovoltaic projects for self-consumption in the Iberian Peninsula, this time in the business segment. Over the last three years, Univergy Autoconsumo has demonstrated a great capacity for implementation and, we are certain, that with the partnership with GreenVolt it will be able to accelerate its business plan, while contributing decisively to the reduction of energy costs Spanish companies and for the generation of clean and renewable energy”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of GreenVolt.
