Hanwha Q CELLS statement on US ITC Administrative Law Judge order
Hanwha Q CELLS has been expecting this order from the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) concerning the US International Trade Commission (ITC) investigation regarding the patent infringement case that the company filed in March of this year. We as a company appreciate the ALJ’s decision previewing these forthcoming initial determinations, as we intend to immediately appeal the anticipated summary determination decisions to the ITC’s Commissioners.
Hanwha Q CELLS invests substantial capital in research and development, and protects that investment with intellectual property. Hanwha Q CELLS will not tolerate infringement of its intellectual property rights, and strongly believes that infringement by JinkoSolar, REC, and LONGi will be ultimately confirmed under a correct interpretation of the patent. The anticipated rulings in the ITC do not have bearing in other regions and will not impact the cases in Australia and Germany.
