In a significant development which is targeted to facilitate the electricity consumers in the billing related matters, the electricity distribution companies have enabled the consumers to upload the meter reading on their own.
CHANDIGARH: In a significant development which is targeted to facilitate the electricity consumers in the billing related matters, the electricity distribution companies have enabled the consumers to upload the meter reading on their own.
This system has been put in place in 42 cities falling under Uttar Haryana Bijli Nigam Limited (UHBVN) the north discom and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) the Southern discom.
The domestic, non domestic and commercial consumers having the load upto 20 KW will be able to avail this facility.
Most importantly, this facility will also weed out the problems faced by electricity consumers on the account of wrong billing, inadequate reading or average billing by the distribution companies.
Due to the lockdown in the last two months, many consumers got electricity bills on an average basis. Those consumers will also be able to use this facility to revise their bills according to the actual reading.
For this facility, the consumers will visit the Nigam’s website www.uhbvn.org.in or www.dhbvn.org.in. All information about the use of this facility is also available on the websites of the DISCOMs.
The cities of the state. Under UHBVN Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Kaithal, Ambala City, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar, Shahbad, Bahadurgarh, Kalka, Pinjore, Cheeka, Guhana, Gharonda, Pehwa, Thanesar, Ganaur and Samalkha is selected for this facility.
Under DHBVN Gurugram, Faridabad, Fatihabad, Jind, Sirsa, Hisar, Rewari, Bhiwani, Charkhadadri, Palwal, Dabwali, Barwala, Ellenabad, Tohana, Hansi, Narwana, Narnaul, Hodal, Bhawani Kheda, Siwani and Loharu is also selected for facilty.
