HFM Solar commissions 1 MW Roof Top Solar Power Plant at DCRUST, Murthal – EQ Mag Pro
Rooftop Solar Power Developer, HFM Solar has commissioned a 1 MW Grid Connected Roof Top Solar PV Plant at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal. The solar plant has been installed under the RESCO Model, and has been built in collaboration with SECI and MNRE.
Medhir Jain, Director, HFM Solar said “We are proud and honoured to be associated with a distinguished educational institute like Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology. The solar plant will provide a significant percentage of the university’s electricity, reduce emissions from grid power and backup diesel generators, and will abate around 1300 Tons of CO2 per year. The Solar Power will be provided at tariff rates, much cheaper than the grid tariffs, providing significant cost savings to the university as well.
Through our partnership, we are helping DCRUST reduce their carbon footprint and electricity costs simultaneously. Educational institutes going solar and reducing their reliance on conventional power, is a major step towards achieving India’s progressive renewable energy target.
