In Detail : HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing research and development in energy technologies. This collaboration is expected to play a key role in accelerating innovations that align with India’s clean energy and sustainability goals.
The focus areas of the partnership include sustainable energy technologies, process innovations, advanced materials, and the integration of artificial intelligence in energy systems. The MoU was signed at HMEL’s corporate office in Noida, in the presence of HMEL’s Managing Director and CEO, Prabh Das, along with senior faculty members from IIT Kanpur, including Prof. Raja Angamuthu and Prof. Jayant Kumar Singh.
