Honeywell introduces Protonium™ to boost green hydrogen production – EQ
In Short : Honeywell has unveiled Protonium™, an AI-driven platform to optimize green hydrogen production. The suite enhances plant design, electrolyzer control, and energy management, lowering costs and improving efficiency. U.S.-based Aternium will first deploy it at the MACH2 hydrogen hub. Protonium™ aims to accelerate green hydrogen’s commercial viability and support global clean energy goals through smarter operations.
In Detail : Honeywell launched Honeywell Protonium™, a suite of AI and machine learning technologies aimed at improving green hydrogen production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Aternium, a clean hydrogen manufacturer based in the United States, will implement the technology at its Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (MACH2).

The technology tackles issues including high production costs, carbon intensity reduction, and power intermittency. Using predictive control algorithms, it boosts electrolysis efficiency and plant design, enhancing hydrogen production’s sustainability and economics.
