Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution Became the Focus in REA 2016 Once Again
From June 1 to 4, 2016, Southeast Asia’s largest Renewable Energy Asia (REA) exhibition hold by UBM opened in Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center in Thailand. The exhibition attracted over 200 exhibitors and over 20,000 customers from more than 20 countries and areas. Huawei’s latest inverter SUN2000-36KTL/42KTL and the brand-new smart PV solution 3.0 that is compatible with five scenarios were showcased in the exhibition.
According to the forecast of IEA, the total installation capacity for renewable energy in South Asia will increase annually by 10.6% per year and will reach 38 billion watts by the year of 2035. Asia, especially Southeast Asia, will become one of the most attractive markets of renewable energy.
Currently, most Thailand terrestrial plants use traditional solutions and have many problems such as high initial investment, long construction period, and high O&M costs. Compared with traditional solutions, Huawei smart PV solution features lower initial investment, higher power generation efficiency, easier installation and O&M, and higher security and reliability.
On the exhibition, Thailand customers gave high praise for the reliability of Huawei inverters, especially the fan-free design. Thailand has a hot climate with high temperature and high humidity, and PV plants are working in complex environments. Huawei inverter is protected to IP65 and isolates internal environment from external environment, so that components can operate in a stable environment, which greatly compromises the effect of temperature, sand, and salt mist on the service life of the components. What is more, the system is maintenance-free because it has no damageable components and consumables such as fuses and fans. All these features guarantee the 25 years of stable running of PV plants. As customers said, the smart PV solution achieves not only optimal power generation performance but also the safe operation of the system and the lowered O&M risks and costs.
Huawei smart PV solution combines PV plant construction with five major scenarios, namely, terrestrial, rooftop, mountainous, solar-agricultural, and solar-fishery scenarios and improves energy yield by more than 3%, IRR by more than 3%, and O&M efficiency by more than 50% to 75%. In the future, Huawei will team up with global excellent partners to promote the healthy development of PV industry through the cooperation in various aspects such as technology innovation and product R&D.
According to the latest report from the authoritative organizations GTM Research and I.H.S, the shipment of Huawei inverters reached top 1 in the world in 2015. Last year, the shipment of Huawei inverters to Southeast Asia exceeded 200 MW. This year, Huawei will continue to increase the investment on Southeast Asia market, especially in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore, to assist the rapid growth of the renewable energy market in Southeast Asia.
