Hydrogen Mission document expected to be launched in 2 months: Minister R K Singh – EQ Mag Pro
New Delhi : The Hydrogen Mission document is expected to be launched in the next 1-2 months, Union Minister R K Singh said on Wednesday.
In his Independence Day speech last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the launch of National Hydrogen Mission with a view to aiding the government in meeting its climate targets and making India a green hydrogen hub.
The mission document is being finalised, the Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy told PTI on the sidelines of India Ideas Summit organised the US-India Business Council (USIBC) here.
The mission is expected to be launched within next one to two months, he said.
The ministry of new and renewable energy has prepared a draft mission document, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Bhagwanth Khuba had said recently.
According to the minister, the draft mission proposes a framework for demand creation, a basket of measures to support production and utilisation of green hydrogen and support for indigenous manufacturing.
Besides, it also includes research and development work, pilot projects, enabling policies and regulations, and infrastructure development.
