SEOUL : Hyundai Motor Group announced the launch of the Euljiro Center One E-Pit, a high-speed electric vehicle (EV) charging station, at Euljiro, central Seoul on Monday.
The 24-hour charging station, open throughout the whole year, was built by Hyundai Motor Co. and Mirae Asset Global Investments, and is the first of its kind to be built in Seoul’s downtown area.
The charging station is located in Seoul’s Gangbuk area, where it is hard to build new EV charging stations due to a high concentration of businesses and other infrastructure.
The E-Pit, set up at the second basement floor of Mirae Asset’s Center One Building, consists of four EV charging stations with a charging speed of up to 260 kilowatt (kW) and two stations with charging speed of up to 100 kW, allowing visitors to charge their EVs quickly during rush hour or other everyday situations.
