IIM Trichy gets Rs 14 cr from REC for solar panel installation
People are picking up books from the signed copies stack at the bookstore and just clicking a picture of the signed page In order to promote solar energy initiatives, rural electrification corporation ltd (REC)- a Navratna PSU has extended a financial aid of Rs 14.2 crore to Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu for installation of 2 MW solar panels at its campus. The main objective of the project is to reduce grid energy consumption for achieving a cleaner community and to protect the environment by reducing carbon dioxide emission, a press release issued by REC stated. An agreement (MoA) was signed between REC and IIM Trichy on 16 Jan in New Delhi. The REC has been actively undertaking such activities under corporate social responsibility (CSR).
