In Short : India Energy Week 2025 kicked off on Tuesday, bringing together 700 exhibitors showcasing innovative technologies in the energy sector. The event highlights the latest advancements in renewable energy, smart grids, and energy efficiency solutions. Industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world are participating, focusing on accelerating India’s energy transition and promoting global collaboration for a sustainable future.
In Detail : Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Monday that India Energy Week 2025 (IEW 2025)—the world’s second-largest energy event in terms of ministerial and CEO participation—will commence on Tuesday (February 11) at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, in the national capital.
The flagship energy event of the Government of India, scheduled to take place from February 11 to 14, will host over 700 exhibitors and 10 pavilions representing countries such as the US, the UK, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Russia, all showcasing cutting-edge energy technologies.
Additionally, the event will feature eight thematic zones, offering a premier platform for driving global energy discussions, showcasing breakthrough innovations, and fostering international collaboration toward a sustainable energy future, Puri said.
IEW 2025 aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas among global stakeholders, encouraging collaboration on key energy projects such as green hydrogen technologies, solar innovations, and advanced exploration techniques.
The event will see participation from major Indian energy ministries, including the Ministry of Power, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Mines, reflecting India’s commitment to integrated energy solutions, the minister added.
One of the highlights is the Sustainable Mobility Pavilion, set up by SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), which will showcase 15 cutting-edge vehicle models from 10 vehicle manufacturers under the theme “People-Centric Mobility Ecosystem.”
Puri also urged attendees to explore pioneering technologies developed by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Some key exhibits include:
ONGC’s deep-sea simulation game
HPCL’s indigenous Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System
BPCL’s LPG cylinder ATM
CSIR’s e-tractor for sustainable agriculture
On the sidelines of IEW 2025, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas will host a Clean Cooking Ministerial, bringing together global policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to accelerate the transition to clean cooking solutions.
The event will highlight India’s success with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) as a model for global adoption. It aims to foster international collaboration, drive policy discussions, and facilitate technology sharing to ensure clean, affordable, and accessible cooking energy for households worldwide.
IEW 2025 is set to be the largest edition yet, with unparalleled global participation, including over 20 foreign energy ministers and deputy ministers representing advanced economies, major energy producers, and key nations of the Global South.
Additionally, the event will feature heads of leading international organizations and 90 CEOs from some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 energy companies, according to a statement from the ministry.
This year, IEW 2025 incorporates seven key strategic themes—Collaboration, Resilience, Transition, Capacity, Digital Frontiers, Innovation, and Leadership—with a stronger emphasis on pragmatic solutions for decarbonization, energy equity, and low-carbon economies.
The inclusion of 20 thematic categories this year, compared to 18 in 2024, highlights an expanded focus on AI, digitalization, and maritime decarbonization.
The conference’s structured stages—Resilience and Transition—align perfectly with India’s dual goals of energy independence and decarbonization, ensuring both global and national relevance.
