India To Create $20 Billion Renewable Energy Market Opportunity Annually: Niti Aayog

The growing momentum towards local manufacturing in India is an opportunity for the country to develop a strong foothold in the $226 billion of global renewable energy market by 2026 which is growing at 21 per cent CAGR, Niti Aayog’s Adviser – Energy Rajnath Ram has said.
“India itself would be creating a market opportunity worth $20 billion annually, ” he said in his special address at the ETEnergyworld Solar Power Congress, adding that the country has set very ambitious targets during COP26, whether it is the world’s largest RE expansion plan with 500 GW of non-fossil uel installed capacity by 2030 or advancing the target of 20 per cent Ethanol blending by 2025.
