During a meeting between Union Power Minister Manohar Lal and the US delegation led by John Podesta, Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy, both parties explored crucial areas of collaboration.
Manohar Lal emphasized the importance of the longstanding partnership between India and the US, highlighting the Ministry of Power’s commitment to the ‘Power & Energy Efficiency Pillar’ under the Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP). He reiterated the need for joint efforts to achieve energy transition goals.
John Podesta recognized India as a vital partner and emphasized the significance of developing resilient supply chains and promoting an investment-driven partnership approach. He highlighted the potential for collaboration between India and the US in areas such as clean energy, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency.
