Inox Wind executes 900 MW of turnkey project from Purvah Green – EQ

In Short : Inox Wind is executing a 990 MW turnkey wind energy project for Purvah Green, a CESC Ltd subsidiary, across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Part of a larger 1,500 MW agreement, the project marks India’s largest wind contract by an independent power producer. Commissioning begins in FY26, supporting Purvah Green’s growing renewable portfolio and India’s green energy goals.

In Detail : Inox Wind (IWL), a provider of wind energy solutions in India, disclosed progress on the 990 MW turnkey wind project it is executing as part of a broader 1,500 MW framework agreement with Purvah Green Private, a subsidiary of CESC. The project is currently in full swing across multiple sites in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with phased commissioning expected to begin from FY26 onwards.

This deal represents the single largest wind order awarded by an independent power producer (IPP) to any wind OEM in India.

“We are pleased to announce that we are now executing the entire 990 MW of turnkey project for Purvah across multiple locations,” said Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO, Inox Wind. “This is a milestone order for Inox Wind from an esteemed customer and we are confident of deepening our relationship further.”

The company confirmed that all advances related to the 990 MW turnkey order have been received and construction activity is well underway. The project will involve end-to-end execution by IWL, including supply, installation, and commissioning of wind turbine generators.
