Inox Wind receives LoI for 50-MW wind project from NLC India – EQ

In Short : Inox Wind has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a 50-Megawatt wind project from NLC India. This highlights the continued collaboration between renewable energy companies and government entities, underscoring the collective efforts to expand India’s wind energy capacity and promote sustainable power generation.

In Detail : Inox Wind Ltd. has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from state-run NLC India Ltd. for a 50 MW wind power project on a turnkey basis, it said in an exchange filing.

The project will be executed at the company’s Dayapar site in Gujarat and will be connected to the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS).

As part of the project, Inox Wind will supply, install and commission its DF 113/92 – 2 MW capacity Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), and provide comprehensive operations & maintenance (O&M) services for over 10 years post commissioning.

“Our robust relationships across PSUs, IPPs, C&I and retail customers, as well as our varied product and service offerings with plug-and-play turnkey solutions, place us at a unique position to deliver value for our customers,” Inox Wind CEO Kailash Tarachandani was quoted as saying.

Last week, the wind energy solutions provider had won a repeat order for 279 MW for its 3 MW Wind Turbine Generators from a large Commercial & Industrial (C&I) player.

In its previous interaction with CNBC-TV18 on December 26, Devansh Jain of InoxGFL Group, in an interaction with CNBC-TV18 said that the order win value for the company is now in excess of ₹2,200 crore and that includes the Operations and Maintenance value.

With this order win, the current order book for Inox Wind exceeds 1,550 MW and has visibility for financial year 2025 as well as 2026, Jain said.

Shares of Inox Wind ended nearly 3% lower at ₹496. The stock has gained nearly 400% over the last 12 months.
