Inverted Energy opens new lithium battery manufacturing plant in Okhla

New Delhi : Inverted Energy Private Limited announced on Wednesday the inauguration of its lithium battery manufacturing plant in Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi.
According to a company release, the plant has an annual production capacity of 100Mwh which will be increased in the coming months.
“Various states in India are having plans for electric vehicles. It is reported that Telangana’s electric vehicle policy exempts road tax for the first two lakh electric vehicles. We want to drive the change to lithium-ion batteries which are more reliable, cost-effective, durable and made-in-India”, Rahul Raj, co-founder, Inverted Energy, said.
Inverted Energy was founded in 2017 by a group of IIT engineers. Okhla manufacturing plant is equipped with machines for high precision welding, superior grading, sorting and testing infrastructure.
The company, for the time being, is focused on electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, home storage and solar batteries used for commercial, industrial and utility services.
In the next phase, the promoters are planning for backward integration of their batteries and for developing customised in-house BMS.
