JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “JA Solar”), one of the largest manufacturer of high performance solar energy products, announced today The formal launch of its new subsidiary JA Solar México SA de CV. (Hereinafter “JA Solar México”) in Latin America. Based on an exhaustive research of the sector, the company considers that there is an enormous potential of growth in the markets of Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in Mexico and Chile . Industry analysts expect that by 2020 Latin America will represent 10% of global PV demand and that by 2021 the installed solar capacity in Mexico will exceed 40GW. Also, distributed generation is capturing a growing share of the solar market in Latin America, particularly in Mexico and Brazil. This new subsidiary will support JA Solar’s sales and marketing efforts in Latin America and the Caribbean, while highlighting the company’s commitment to the region.
