In Short : Juniper Green has partnered with Envision Energy to develop 1 GW of renewable energy projects. This collaboration aims to accelerate the deployment of clean energy solutions, focusing on wind and solar power. The partnership underscores a commitment to advancing sustainable energy infrastructure, reducing carbon emissions, and contributing to global renewable energy targets.

In Detail : Juniper Green Energy (JGE) has secured a partnership with Envision Energy India to procure wind turbines and a cutting-edge energy storage system for its ambitious renewable energy projects. The agreement covers 200 advanced 5 MW wind turbines and a 320 MWh battery energy storage system, paving the way for one GW of new projects.

Optimising energy production and storage solutions

Juniper’s new wind turbines, with an 182-metre rotor diameter and 140-meter hub height, offer more than 40 per cent improved energy production over older models, helping overcome land acquisition challenges. These turbines will be deployed in projects secured through state and central auctions.

Along with wind energy, Juniper is enhancing its projects with Envision’s advanced lithium-ion BESS, designed for Juniper’s firm dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project, awarded by SJVN in its first FDRE auction. The BESS integrates an AIoT-based energy management system, ensuring efficient, safe, and long-lasting energy storage.

In addition to the wind and storage systems, Juniper recently partnered with First Solar to procure one GW of Series 7 FT1 cadmium telluride photovoltaic modules. This, combined with power purchase agreements (PPAs) signed with entities like SJVN, GUVNL, and NTPC, underlines Juniper Green’s growing role in India’s renewable energy transition.
