In Short : Juniper Green has expanded its renewable energy footprint with two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Gujarat and Rajasthan. These agreements aim to bolster the company’s renewable energy portfolio and support sustainable development in both states.

In Detail : The project is expected to offset approximately 445,796 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year and support the electrification of around 95,079 households.

Juniper Green Energy, on Friday, signed two transformative Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Juniper Green Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the first of its kind, under Hybrid Tranche VII for the development of a 150 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat and Rajasthan.

This collaboration aims to generate approximately 477 million units (MUs) of electricity annually. The project is expected to offset approximately 445,796 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year and support the electrification of around 95,079 households.

Commenting on the partnership, Naresh Mansukhani, CEO, Juniper Green Energy, said: “Partnering with SECI and GUVNL on these projects embodies our forward-thinking approach and commitment to harnessing the synergy of wind and solar energy. These initiatives not only leverage the strengths of both wind and solar energy but also reinforce our commitment to delivering green energy solutions that are both reliable and environmentally responsible. We are excited to contribute to Gujarat and Rajasthan’s clean energy landscape and drive significant positive impacts for local communities.”

In addition to the hybrid project, Juniper Green Energy has secured an agreement with GUVNL Wind Phase VI for a standalone 90 MW wind power project in Gujarat. This marks Juniper’s largest single wind PPA to date. Strategically located, the project is anticipated to generate approximately 293 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 2,66,002 tonne of CO2 emissions annually. The electricity generated is estimated to electrify 56,539 households in Gujarat.
