In Detail : KEC International, a part of the RPG group, secured new orders worth ₹1,017 crore in the transmission & distribution and clean energy sectors, surpassing a YTD order intake of ₹5,000 crore. The orders include projects in the Middle East and a Solar PV project in Rajasthan.

KEC International, an engineering and manufacturing firm under the RPG group, announced in a stock exchange filing on July 2 that it has clinched new orders amounting to ₹1,017 crore in the transmission & distribution (T&D) and clean energy sectors.

The company said that the year-to-date (YTD) order intake has exceeded ₹5,000 crore, reflecting a remarkable 50% growth compared to the previous year. Vimal Kejriwal, the Managing Director & CEO of KEC International Ltd, expressed satisfaction with the continuous influx of orders in the first quarter of the financial year.

The orders secured include an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project and tower supply in the Middle East, along with a contract for the balance of system package for a 625 MWp Solar PV project in Rajasthan from a subsidiary of an undisclosed PSU in the renewable power generation segment.

Kejriwal emphasised the company’s confidence in the renewable EPC business, which contributes significantly to future growth while highlighting the bolstering of their international T&D market presence through orders in the Middle East. The company’s stock closed 2.16% higher at ₹903 on the NSE on July 2.
