Krishnapatnam Power Corporation in pact to build 2,780 mw power units in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad-based CVR group led Krishnapatnam Power Corporation is in pact with the government of Andhra Pradesh to build thermal power units totalling 2,780 megawatts at an estimated investment of Rs 16, 680 crore, the company said in a statement Monday.
The project will be located in the eastern coast of India close to the company’s Krishnapatnam Port, which has been built by its flagship company Navayuga Engineering Company, at SPS Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh.
Chinta Sasidhar – Director, Krishnapatnam Power Corporation said, “With the commissioning of these projects we expect the huge demand of the state to be dealt actively apart from creating immense job opportunities.”
CVR Group has presence in engineering, construction, ports, power, software development and exports.
