KTR to inaugurate 200 MW automated solar module plant on Jul 29
Telangana Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao will inaugurate a state-of-the-art 200 MW automated Solar module manufacturing facility set up by Hyderabad-based premier Solar, at Annaram village in Sanga Reddy of Telangana, on July 29.This facility will create over 500 jobs, both direct and indirect, the company Chairman Surender Pal Singh said in a release here today.Premier had earlier created a 175 MW capacity in its operations so far and invested Rs 50 crore in this plant to add 200 MW capacity and another plant that will make electric vehicles, taking the total investment to Rs 100 crore in Telangana until date. It plans to invest another Rs 400 crore adding 625 MW, taking the total capacity to 1 GW in next 4-5 years, he said.Currently, the company has a capacity of 50 MW for Solar Cell and wants to create a capacity of 1 GW in next 4-5 years, he said for this, the company will set up an exclusive plant and is scouting for a location in Telangana, Gujarat and Odisha.”We are also leveraging our expertise in the domain of solar energy by launching innovative and eco-friendly solar powered Hybrid e-vehicles. These vehicles will be in the form of solar e-Rickshaw, solar e-Bike, solar Cycle Rickshaw and solar Bicycle, to be inaugurated at the facility centre by Telangana Minister for Irrigation, T Harish Rao on Saturday,” he added.
