Libya’s main airports and solar projects could be funded by the Stability Support Fund
Libya’s four main airports, Mitiga (Tripoli), Sebha, Benina (Benghazi) and Misrata, could receive funding from the UN-administered Libya Stability Support Fund. This would include solar energy systems for air side lighting, the Libyan Airports Authority reported.
The news came after a meeting was held on Thursday (7 January) between the Office of Cooperation at the Libyan Airports Authority and the Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Planning at the Planning Ministry in Tripoli.
The projects discussed would fall within the United Nations Development Program to support stability in Libya and within the framework of the cooperation between the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the Ministry of Planning of Libya’s internationally recognized government.
