In Short : LICO Materials has launched LiGRID BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) in India, aiming to enhance sustainable energy storage solutions. The innovative system is designed to support renewable energy integration by storing excess power for later use, improving grid stability. LiGRID BESS is expected to play a key role in India’s energy transition, enabling more reliable and efficient renewable energy distribution.

In Detail : LICO Materials has launched its LiGRID, 2nd life Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The new system brings reduced operational costs to 60 per cent of regular levels while providing four times the lifespan of lead acid battery energy storage solutions. The LiGRID system from LICO Materials powers residences, eateries, hotels, hospitals, and commercial properties, supporting a greener energy system.

India faces fast-growing energy storage requirements because it aims to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030 while embracing electric vehicle adoption. BESS technology stabilises transmission networks, boosts clean energy investments, and reduces reliance on fossil fuels, positioning itself at the heart of India’s power sector.

Innovative technology and safety features

The LiGRID comes in three models: LiGRID 10, LiGRID 30, and LiGRID 250. Each model combines oil heating and cooling capabilities with multi-layer safety designs and intelligent thermal operations systems. The temperature-efficient LiGRID series enjoys a five-year warranty along with comprehensive fire safety features across its full operating temperature spectrum.

CEO Gaurav Dolwani stressed that “With LiGRID Battery Energy Storage Systems we continue to drive innovation in battery repurposing for sustainable energy storage systems.”
