L&L acts for Malaysias’ Petro Berhad on $388m buy of India’s Amplus Energy rooftop solar power co
Malaysia’s state-run oil and gas company, Petroliam Nasional Bhd or Petronas on Monday said it has acquired Amplus Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd, one of India’s largest rooftop solar power producers.

L&L Partners advised Petroleum Nasional Berhad led by a core transaction team of senior partner Mohit Saraf along with partners Samir Dudhoria and Pallavi Bedi, assisted by senior associate Jitender Singh Shekhawat, associate Aiswarja Mohanty, associate Ashita Bali, associate Aarushi Nargas and associate Kanchan Modak; partner Suyash Srivastava and senior associate Kumar Prem Anand assisted with conducting diligence over the employment related agreements and advised on employment issues to be addressed as conditions precedent to the acquisition; partner Nirupam Lodha and associate Shivangi Narang assisted with reviewing agreements for transfer of intellectual property rights; partner Abdullah Hussain was involved in advising on an approval/intimation requirement from the Competition Commission of India for the deal.
