Madhya Pradesh experiences higher demand from October to March during the rabi crop season, while Uttar Pradesh requires more power from April to September for the kharif season.
The solar park will consist of four units, each generating 200 MW. Power procurement will be jointly managed by Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. Officials have outlined a timeline for the project, with bid documents expected by May, a reverse auction scheduled for June, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to be finalized in July.
This initiative is part of a broader collaboration between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to develop 8 GW of solar capacity. The first phase of this partnership includes a 2 GW project, with Morena in Madhya Pradesh identified as a potential site.
